Laurie's approach has been balanced with addressing the most immediate assignments while building foundations for the upcoming rigor of the curriculum in our son's academic journey.  We have watched him go from a good student to one whose confidence is evident and his performance exemplary; recognized as the outstanding student for Algebra I.  Laurie clearly knows how to relate to her students; he has NEVER left a tutoring session without a smile on his face and pride in his voice about the work he has tackled.    

Laurie has tutored our two granddaughters who are now 12 and 11 years old for the past 4 years. Without Laurie's help, I'm not sure where we would be. She was instrumental in helping with dyslexia diagnosis for one of the kids and continues to work with her weekly as we strive to pass the STAAR exam. She is prepared, patient, and very experienced working with kids with learning challenges. I highly recommend Laurie for kids of any and all ages.

I've never really enjoyed math or had a firm grasp on it, but since learning from Mrs. Dillard (Algebra II), I've actually come to enjoy math. Her style of teaching and explanations are easy to follow. I now have a much more comprehensive and deeper understanding of algebra and math in general.

Laurie tutored my son in Algebra II. Jackson appreciated her patience and encouragement during the harder lessons. We were so thankful for her knowledge of the subject that was beyond my scope of teaching.

Laurie has taught all of my kids, and I can wholeheartedly say she is the best teacher they've had. She's the kind of teacher who always goes above and beyond. Laurie puts great thought and effort into her teaching and she genuinely cares about each child. She wants every student to succeed and is always willing to adapt her approach to meet their individual needs.
